Daniel Carberg, tenor
Daniel Carberg holds degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is completing his doctorate in Early Music from Indiana University's Early Music Institute. Recently Dan has performed as a soloist with Piffaro, the Catacoustic Consort, the Bath Street Studio, and has been featured on National Public Radio's Performance Today. Dan is also a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Concord Ensemble. Other credits include performances with the Santa Barbara Camerata Pacifica, Theatre of Voices, the Pro Arte Singers, the Madison Early Music Festival, Bloomington Early Music Festival, and recording credits include such labels as Dorian Records, Gothic Records, and Harmonia Mundi. Dan is on the music faculty at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, where he teaches applied voice, vocal pedagogy, vocal performance seminar, commercial vocal styles, and medieval-renaissance music history. Dan directs a small vocal ensemble, Tudor Voices, and is also the music director for the Millikin Opera Theatre. Recent projects include Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne, and Monteverdi's L'Incoronzione di Poppea.
