Bach's Wedding Cantatas
Nothing expresses hope and new beginnings like a wedding. So, slide into spring with Bach’s charming Wedding Cantatas, among his earliest and most exuberant works, celebrating love and the transition from winter chills to balmy breezes. Written for solo voice, these cantatas are joyously interpreted by soprano Mary Wilson and the always brilliant Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra conducted by Martin Haselböck. Rounding out the program are a violin concerto performed by concertmaster Cynthia Roberts, and an oboe concerto featuring principal oboist Gonzalo Ruiz.
Don’t miss this wonderful evening of Bach masterpieces. It will definitely warm your heart.
