The young genious, Giovanni Batista Pergolesi, composed several wonderful pieces in Naples, Italy during his all too brief life. The center of this program is his Stabat Mater, which became the most frequently printed work of the 18th century. We welcome Italian harpsichordist Lorenzo Ghielmi as guest conductor.
