Martin Haselböck Performs
Special Organ Recital on Monday, February 20, 2012
Many of you may know that Musica Angelica’s Music Director, Martin Haselböck, is also court organist of Vienna. Early in his career, following studies in Vienna and Paris and receiving numerous prizes and fellowships, he gained an international reputation as an organ soloist, working with conductors such as Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Riccardo Muti and many others. Several composers of our time, including Ernst Krenek, Alfred Schnittke, Cristobal Halffter, and Gilbert Amy have written works for Martin Haselböck and have dedicated compositions to him.
On Monday, February 20, 2012, at 3:00 pm, Musica Angelica is honored to present an afternoon with Martin Haselböck in a special concert of Baroque organ works. The event will be hosted in a private home in the Brentwood area that has an impressive late 17th Century North German style Baroque tracker organ. Martin will be joined by soprano Mary Wilson for this very special event. Proceeds will benefit the Musica Angelica Annual Fund. Tickets are $150 and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
